As Escea Fireplace Company’s Lead Architectural Advisor, Richard provides education, technical guidance, and specification support to architects and specifiers across international markets. Based at Escea’s head office in New Zealand, he brings over 15 years’ experience working on a wide range of residential and commercial projects.
Specialising in commercial and non-standard installation specifications — from bespoke, one-off designs to complex multi-level developments — Richard supports design teams through technical, compliance, and integration challenges. With a background in drafting and commercial interior design, he offers well-rounded advice that balances refined design detail with practical, big-picture thinking.
